Touring: Tour de France
Event photography for Touring at the Tour de France in Brussels.
The concept was to capture everybody who signed the petition on their “Signature-Wall”, and make a general impression of the atmosphere around the Event location. Photos where taken during the day and uploaded the same evening to the Touring Facebook page, where people can find their “signature picture” to tag & share:

Portrait Marathon Preview
Preview of the 3 day portrait session I did for Pearle earlier this week.
Around 150 portraits were taken during 3 sessions spread over 3 different locations in Belgium with around 50 portraits taken in a timespan of 2,5 hours, each evening.
It took quite some preparations and organisation to get the right person on the right time and location and link the names to each picture, but everything went smoothly thanks to Pearle and my assistants.
Pictures will be used for flyers, posters and advertising material.
The Waiting shoot
Shoot done for 11.11.11 for their Millenium Goals campaign. The assignment here was to capture people in a “waiting pose” to emphasize that they are waiting for the Belgian Government to take action on the Millennium Goals. More info about the campaign here, press release can be found here.
Photos are used in posters, flyers, leaflets, website.

Got a text message from Laura last sunday, saying that the weather wasn’t going to get any better… and my god, she was right! So we made some quick arrangements and an hour later we were shooting in a park in the suburbs of Antwerp. Mini Snowtrip
On request by the Austrian touristical service I was asked to go on a 4 day ski trip and document this with pictures and write about it on my blog. Unfortunately I broke my wrist while snowboarding, but that didn’t stop me from taking pictures.
Plugg: Live Seminar Shoot
Performing together with Pieter Baert a live shoot at the international Plugg conference. Pictures are transmitted wireless to PC and directly uploaded to Flickr. Using a WT4 wireless transmitter. The stream can be viewed here:
Working with the Wireles Transmitter is not a plug ‘n play matter. It requires testing, maintenance & monitoring of every aspect in the workflow. I will write a review afterwards of our findings.
Magazine Cover
Made some pics that were used for a birthday invitation. OK it’s more a flyer than a magazine cover… 
but it’s always fun to see what clients do with the provided work. I like this one!

Baby Portrait

Portrait of a one year old. Capturing kids of this age is quit hard, the attention span and effort to strike a pose is not something a kid likes. You only get a fraction of a second to make the right picture. That makes it even more fun if you can snap a nice portrait.

Genieten Magazine
Shoot for Belgian Lifestyle & Travel Magazine Genieten in Abruzzo Italy. This resulted in a 4 page reportage for the November 2009 edition of the magazine. Photo’s & text by me.
Baby Shoot
There’s a first time for everything. This was the first time that a did an actual baby shoot. And I have to admit that it’s kinda hard, when you’re doing a normal portrait shoot it is allready hard to get the right expression. When shooting babies, it’s kinda hard to let them to lay still AND then in that split second catch a great expression. I learned a lot while doing this shoot but in the end I was quiet happy about the result as well.

A shoot of an appartement that will be sold in the near future. The request was to stress out the beautiful view, the big terras and the massive daylight on the second floor of the duplex. Images will be used on their own website as well as on immo websites.
Drink Center

A small shoot for Coca Cola in order to create an image of the local beverage wholesale for their websites & folders. The briefing was to create attracting images from inside and around the store. Which was hard because it only shows bottles and crates stacked high up in the store. But I manged to create some images from a different perspective. Customer was satisfied.
Diamonds are forever
For the website of a diamond company I was asked to make some pictures of the craftmanship that is required to create a diamond. Below one of the pictures from that shoot.
Lady Portrait
A lawyer agency asked me to make portraits of their employes and the management team for their new website. I delivered all files in color and black & white. Below one of the results.

Today I shot a litte wedding. What I like most is to capture the people while they are preparing for the wedding. You can feel the tension, see the pressure and witness the precision and carefullness they put in this special day!

Fedasil Ekeren
I got the opportunity to be a visitor in the asylum centre of Ekeren and document my visit with some pictures. All the pictures taken will be given to the current inhabitants of the centre. This way they have little documentation of the time they passed there.

ABT – MAS
Shoot for the ABT, one of the companies involved in the MAS project in Antwerp. The organised an event for architects to talk about the MAS, with a presentation of Jan Hoet.
Sinksefoor
Always packin’ while i’m outdoor I shot this one strolling over the Antwerp Sinksefoor while the fair was still closed. I added some black & white tones to dramatise the image.
